Excellent bowling set up a comfortable victory over Optimists.
Sairab bowled like the wind taking 6 wickets for only 32 runs in his 10 overs. Noor wasn’t far behind, picking up 4 for 48 as Optimists were dismissed for only 155. We fielded well, took our chances and generally looked a very professional outfit.
Our batting has been our Achilles heel this season and there were some concerns amongst the watching members that we might not be sufficiently focussed as we started our innings.
These fears proved to be unfounded as Muneeb and Asama put on 67 for the first wicket; indeed we knocked off the winning runs in only 26 overs, Sudh and Afzal seeing us home. It should be noted that victory also came as an excellent birthday present for Ted!
